Huddingsthorpe (Hud-ings-thorpe) (Haud-ens-torpe - Gaelic) is a large market town and former parish borough within the Buraer and District Regional Council in South-West Scotland. There is no detailed history about the region; all we know is that Wellford was the "first in Scotland", after the English border. Currently, there are around 23,000 residents living within the town, with over 100,000 in the region of Buraer. In 1993, Stagecoach took over most local and regional services from former operator "Huddingsthorpe Transport", ran by the council. There are 3 operators in the region - Stagecoach Borders, Robertsons of Bells Lang, and First SW Glasgow.

This map is fictional, and is based upon the region of Dumfries and Galloway. In version 1, there will be 5 routes, all evolved from the IRL bus route 79, from Dumfries to Carlisle.

76: Huddingsthorpe, Viola Sands - Fallersbay, Harbour - Yorkfriars, Bus Stands (opp. Aldi) - Wellford, Central Avenue and Outlets - Ingesthorpe, Grierson Way - Ekaborough, Interchange
176: Yorkfriars, Bus Stands (opp. Aldi) - Wellford, Central Loop and Outlets - Ingesthorpe, Town Service, Smallerscombe, Scotland Road - Ekaborough, Interchange
376: Yorkfriars, Bus Stands (opp. Aldi) - Yorkfriars Academy - Wellford, Central Loop and Outlets - Northrigg High School
576: Ekaborough, Interchange - Smallerscombe, Scotland Road - Ingesthorpe, Grierson Way - Wellford, Central Avenue - Yorkfriars, Bus Stands (opp. Aldi)
876: Huddingsthorpe, Viola Sands - Fallersbay, Harbour - Clarence, Bypass Bridge

There are 2 main ways to drive to Ekaborough: via the main road, A476, or the back roads. B721 and B723. All bus routes above use the B721/3 but some double deckers divert from Clarence to avoid the low bridge. It leaves Yorkfriars but does an express service to Huddingsthorpe. The bus that's usually allocated on the 76 and 176 is an Enviro 200 MMC (8.9m as the 11.5m isn't able to fit into Huddingsthorpe Viola Sands). Sometimes an MB Citaro is used if there are no MMC's available. The 376 uses the Transbus ALX400, the 576 uses a Wright Eclipse 1.5, and the 876 uses an MB Citaro.

Unfortunately, progress will be slow, as I have a very busy work schedule, so expect to see an update once a month. In terms of progress, I've completed the town centre of Huddingsthorpe and the first section of road to Yorkfriars. I just need to fill in scenery and minimise gaps. Please take a look at some screenshots below:

You're not you when you're hungry - Streetlites will never be out on these roads...

Snow is very rare in the south-west of Scotland, only happening around 2-3 days a year. When this happens, all B-roads within the Buraer region have an enforced 20mph speed limit on all B-roads.

Small update, route map for first half of map here. This part of the map takes 38 minutes to drive and you get a 2 minute break at both Yorkfriars and Huddingsthorpe before starting/continuing your journey.

And here is the second half of the map. It takes 1 hour exactly from Yorkfriars to Ekaborough, 1hr 12mins on 176 via Ingesthorpe and Smallerscombe, 20 minutes from Yorkfriars to Wellford on 376
